Dr Negibe Mankir is a consultant psychiatrist with extensive experience across a broad range of mental health disorders. Negibe graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1998 and obtained her Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in 2008. She is fluent both English and Turkish. She is the first Turkish speaking psychiatrist trained in Melbourne and currently the only Turkish speaking practicing consultant psychiatrist. Negibe uses a combination of pharmacological and psychotherapeutic approaches to treat her patients. 

Negibe has previously worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist at North West Mental Health Inpatient Unit, St Vincent’s Hospital Inpatient Unit and for over 16 years at The Melbourne Clinic inpatient and outpatient sector. She curretly works at GROW 2.5 days a week and the remainder at The Victoria Clinic. 

Her professional areas of interest include: 291 Assessments, Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Social Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and Schizophrenia.

 When she is not working, she loves gardening, travelling, reading, and taking long walks in nature.
