Founder & Principal
Dr Firdevs Tat is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist with more than 32 years of experience working across community health and private practice. She is the Founder and Director of GROW Clinical Psychology, a multidisciplinary practice in Melbourne providing therapy and comprehensive assessment services for children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Known for her warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach, Firdevs is passionate about supporting individuals and families through evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed care. She has extensive experience working with autism, developmental differences, anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioural challenges, parenting concerns, and complex mental health presentations.
Firdevs leads GROW Clinical Psychology’s autism assessment clinic and has a strong reputation for culturally responsive care, particularly within culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. Fluent in Turkish, she is committed to making psychological services accessible, respectful, and inclusive for families from all backgrounds.
Prior to founding GROW Clinical Psychology, she facilitated the establishment of Victoria’s first Paediatric Neuropsychology Services within community health and has contributed significantly to multidisciplinary service development, supervision, and mentoring throughout her career.
Her qualifications include a Doctor of Psychology and endorsements in both Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology through AHPRA. She is also a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society (FAPS).
In 2024, GROW Clinical Psychology received a Medicare Award recognising excellence in mental health service delivery and community impact.
