Derya is a registered psychologist known for her warm, empathetic, and genuine approach. She is deeply attuned to her clients’ experiences and creates a safe, supportive, non-judgemental space where clients feel comfortable to open up and be themselves. Derya works collaboratively with her clients, using evidence-based approaches to support meaningful and lasting change.
She works with children, adolescents, and adults, and has experience supporting a wide range of presentations. Her areas of interest include anxiety and stress, depression, perfectionism and self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, social anxiety and communication difficulties, as well as neurodiversity support. She also works with pregnancy, perinatal and post-natal adjustment, workplace stress and career transitions, grief, loss, and life transitions.
Derya is particularly passionate about supporting individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward, and works alongside them to build insight, develop practical strategies, and create positive, sustainable change in their lives.
With over 20 years of diverse professional experience, Derya brings a depth of understanding to her clinical work. Her background includes roles as an Academic/Teaching Associate at Deakin University, as well as experience in human resources and learning and development. This has strengthened her ability to build strong connections, communicate effectively, and support individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.
